What Are Core Supports?

Core Supports are one of the main NDIS funding categories that help you with your day-to-day activities. These supports are focused on enabling independence, dignity, and community connection. At New World Support Services, we deliver Core Supports under four key areas:

Daily Living Assistance

We help you with essential personal care tasks, including:

  • Showering, grooming, and dressing

  • Toileting and hygiene

  • Mobility assistance (e.g., getting in/out of bed or wheelchair)

  • Medication prompting

  • Meal preparation and feeding assistance

Our team respects your routines, preferences, and privacy at all times.

Support With Household Tasks

We make sure your home is clean, safe, and comfortable by assisting with:

  • Cleaning and vacuuming

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Dishwashing and kitchen maintenance

  • Grocery shopping and organising your space

Transport & Community Access

We help you get where you need to go with dignity and ease:

  • Attending medical appointments

  • Participating in social activities

  • Going to work, TAFE, or community programs

  • Visiting friends, family, or places of interest

You’ll have a support worker by your side who understands your needs and promotes your independence.

Social & Community Participation

We encourage you to engage in the community and build meaningful connections. Support may include:

  • Joining clubs, groups, or events

  • Attending recreational outings or religious gatherings

  • Building confidence in social settings

  • Learning new life skills through real-life participation
